Resistance targets US, Israel from all fronts

US and Israeli forces came under attack by the resistance in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, while Yemen's Ansarallah launched missiles towards Israel

Axis of Resistance factions in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon carried out operations on 19 October in support of Hamas and the Palestinian resistance in their war against Israel.

The Ansarallah resistance movement in Yemen fired three missiles north in the direction of Israel, which were intercepted by a US Navy warship, US officials said.

The USS Carney, a Navy destroyer in the Red Sea, was forced to intercept the three missiles.

The Ansarallah movement, which has been fighting the Saudi-led international coalition since 2015, has expressed support for the Palestinians and threatened Israel.

Last week, Abdel-Malek al-Houthi, the Ansarallah leader, warned the US against intervening in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, threatening that his forces would retaliate by firing drones and missiles.

The US has been moving warships and troops to the eastern Mediterranean since Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel on 7 October, followed by Israel’s bloody bombardment of Gaza. US officials say they wish to deter Hezbollah and Iran from entering the conflict on the side of the Palestinians.

Earlier on 19 October, Grad missiles targeted the US airbase at Ain al-Asad in western Iraq’s Anbar province, as confirmed by a security source speaking with Shafaq News.

The base was hit by a barrage of missiles, the source informed Shafaq News Agency. Swift action by a unit from al-Jazeera and Badia Command of the 29th Brigade, part of the 7th Division, led to the discovery of a missile launching platform. Remarkably, they managed to neutralize two missiles that were primed for launch.

Earlier on Thursday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, comprised of armed Shia factions, claimed responsibility for the attack on the US military base in Al-Tanf, Syria, located on the nexus of the Syria, Jordan, and Iraq borders.

The group revealed that they had targeted the base with three drones, emphasizing that these unmanned aerial vehicles had hit their intended targets directly and accurately.

Drones also attacked an oil facility in eastern Syria which serves as a base for US troops occupying the region.

Pro-opposition Deir Ezzor 24 media outlet said three drones with explosives struck the Conoco gas field in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor that borders Iraq.

Rami Abdurrahman of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, confirmed that five explosions were heard at the Conoco gas field.

Also on Thursday, a guided missile was launched from southern Lebanon targeting an Israeli military outpost in the Menara settlement, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent reported, confirming a direct impact.

Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 reported that two anti-tank missiles targeted Menara.

Israel then shelled the outskirts of the towns of Hula and Mays al-Jabal, the Al-Mayadeen correspondent added.

The attacks from various axis of resistance factions followed a speech by Hamas military spokesman, Abu Obeida. He stated that, “We send greetings to our great people in all places where they reside, to our fighters in all arenas, to the combatants on all fronts, and to the uprising masses that reject Zionist aggression in all corners of the earth.”

Abu Obeid extended “Greetings to every rifle, hand, voice, and pen that stands up against this criminal enemy.”
